It's dear Jake's actual birthday! :)

usually his friends will celebrate a weekend in advance for him, i will celebrate one day in advance , and his family takes the actual day. 

But due to work, i occupied half of his actual day bcos we only had dinner the previous evening.

Setting off to town!

Had wanted to try IMAX for some time already.

it's $20 per ticket.

we were so excited!

Hey thats us in the little two yellow seats.

Mission Impossible, Ghost Protocol.

Except for the sound system and screen in which i found a little bit of difference,

the rest of the movie experience is about the same.

Not really worth it for $20 per ticket?

we were quite disappointed cos we expected something special.

Met up with Ping family at Ion Paradise Dynasty for dinner.

Dearest Jake's Birthday celebration with Jace.

This time round we decided to try Conrad's Oscar Cafe. 

The moment we arrive, there were someone to open the door for us.

And then escorted us to Oscar Cafe.

5 star hotel, thumbs up to the service! 

it left a very good impression on us (:

Right at the entrance of Oscar.

havent seen the food already feel yummy. haha!

Selection was limited, but quality vs quantity applies.

This is the whole area, plus a noodle bar at the terrace.

This is the corner where my heart flew over first. 

actually this is only part of the dessert corner. 

They have a whole stretch.

pastries, cookies, chocolates, ice cream, waffles, mousse and parfait. etc etc.

my greatest happiness besides Mr Sweet.

Seafood and salad corner.

you got to queue up for the oysters which will be freshly open for you upon request.

Sashimi and sushi corner. 

freshly cut upon request.

they have a few selection of fish.

and something that taste like 'bao bei' but i dont know its name haha.

a bit of cream, sponge cake, and crispy waffles inside.

Something like kit kat? hehe.

Never see before such a big complimentary cake haha.

Side track abit, love got me this mint macaroon from sweet spot.

bcos no more chocolate and he doesnt like mint.

After a young, wild and free night,

who would have appeitite for buffet??

Nevertheless, we went for Shin Yuu at Greenwood Avenue.

Bukit Timah area.

Overall food was not bad exceot for the squid. 

$62.50 per pax.

I'd rather go for hotel buffet if u ask me.

Got desserts hehe.

Shin Yuu only has jap food and no desserts.

This is where they lose out. :(

and probably also bcos we were having a hangover.

We went with Pauline and Edwin.

PRE Xmas Celebration!

Took half day leave and rested for a while before heading out to dear's cousin home for BBQ.

The family's out to HK,

left their empty home in Ping family's care.

Starting fire with the instant grill set.

Can be found in Giant, 

consist of charcoal in an alumnium tray, 

a metal support to hold the tray, 

one fire starter and a piece of paper.

Suppose to burn the paper and fire starter.

But guess one isnt enough, luckily we bought extra.

Charcoal also need extra ba. haha.

super got resort feel. dont feel like a home haha.

it's too big for me to take everywhere.

envy, why their house so big. haha!

got pool somemore!

dear and i played in the water after dinner.

it's our first time in a pool haha.

ping mama washing the food.

dont see like very little. more than enough to fill our tummies! end up got leftover.

Watch TV while BBQ. enjoy. lol.

After some pool time,

we washed up and dressed up for Zouk with the usual bunch.

All of us had a little too much to drink that night.

now i have alchohol-phobia. lols.

photos at the club were lost due to Pauline's phone getting wiped out becos of nothing. 

it was quite a night, a whole new chaotic experience lol lol.
