Sunday Teatime for Strawberry Shortcake hunt.

We headed to Antoinette, just walking distance from my house!

Why the place so Atas!

I think we can only afford the teabreaks and desserts loll.

Look at the wide selection of macaroons.

Comparable to Canele! Very nice :D

But more expensive, about $2.50-$3 for one.

I'd go for a cheaper substitute and still as nice. (:

No strawberry shortcake that day, so sad.

Had the chocolate cake that received good review online. 

yummy but very chocolatey!

The Forest berry tea like cough syrup, argh.

But we will be back to buy the SBC & macaroons again. hehe!

Weekend Steamboat lunch with Jake's colleagues.

First time meeting them, hehehe nervous. 

You know, that kind of feeling like you just got tgt with a boy, and then he brings u out to see his friends.

You dont know how his friends will think of u. 

hahaha, still can have this feeling even though we already tgt for 3.5 yrs.

Met up to buy food from NTUC before going to one of his colleague's home at Tiong Bahru.

Busy washing and preparing the food,

only to get this hot pot ready at 3pm.

Hungry max. It's our first meal of the day btw. 

looks good hor.

Played some games after lunch.

His colleague's house got doggie.

I so scared. lol.

But later on find that this doggie very well behaved. 

Sit on the sofa nvr bark de.

I sayanged the doggie. :D

He so cute leh he push the ball beside me and stared at it, duno waiting for what.

At first i ignored and he continue stoning beside me.

I tried to touch the ball then he quickly bite it.

 became a tug-of-war game when i wanted to take it from him. loll.

They say he likes it.

Another sunday teatime on Egg Benedict's hunt.

This time we went to Prive at Keppel Bay!

$16 for 2. one for Mingyan, one for Meiying.

with Ice strawberry tea and ice coffee latte.

Finished our food and shifted to another table to face the water.

Comfy sofa in a relaxed setting.

Satisfied. (:

This completed our week.

Definitely coming back for the food and the feel.

Always long queue no matter what time.

Its business hour ends unusually early..

once we went at around 4pm and it's closed!

This time we were bent on eating even if there's a queue, dont care!

The ice rink is right behind, hence the lower temperature.

Fried sweet potato.

Cant be compared to "I love Taimei" at Bugis.

Nice but very filling and easily got sick of it cos its thick.

I think if we finish the whole thing we wont have space for other food lol.

Fried Toufu.

I thought it'd be something like smelly toufu, got the sauce and all..

But..disappointment.

Its really PLAIN fried tou fu. -.-

Had a set meal so that we can get a free shaved ice (using OCBC card)

This is 三杯鸡, still not too bad but not the best i've had.

The shaved ice is the reason why i wanted to try this eatery so much.

Anyway, everything arent as good as i thought it'd be.

Food soso, only milk tea the best.

Somemore not cheap..

But i'll go back one more time though, to bring my mom and bro to try.

Waited for bus at the interchange..

Only to realise..

because I put it in my clutch and "giap" until. :(

A simple birthday celebration for Ping kor kor.

Had Fish head steamboat for dinner,

Collected strawberry shortcake from Vivo Bakerzinz before heading to ping home.

Headed to town for some shopping and then TWG at Takashimaya!

On our Egg Benedict's hunt plus looking for some fine tea.

So Atas the table.

The pot of tea cant be refilled.

$19 for a set. Most expensive out of all we've tried.

And its not nice. 

Wont ever go back again for Egg Benny.

But the hi-tea set looks nice.

We nvr order but beo other ppl's food. hehehe.

The cup so nice. Can buy from there but expensive leh.

Face so smelly. haha.

Then it came as a huge disappointment.

Worse macaoons i have ever eaten. :((

One fine day,

we discovered a nest on a pot of plant in pinghouse balcony.

As I was very curious if there was anything inside..

I took this shot.

omg is that bird egg???

super clear.

Few days later when i go over to ping house..

the eggs are still in the same state.

We were so worried that it cannot hatch.

The birdie parents still came occasionally to check.

Finally..another one fine day, it hatched! look very raw. lols.

sorry i dont know why i use this word but it feels raw to me,

i know cannot eat. lol lol

While the little birdie grew,

the birdie's parents come flying around the area and stayed close to the nest.

keeping an eye on its young. So protective.

Guess birds also the same right.

So cuuuuuute..fats fats one.

still cannot fly..i think learning..(or stoning?)

回眸一笑。

And it flew away with its parents, happily after after.

End of my bird story of 3 weeks.

Our very FIRST fine dining experience- Dozo.

It's Japanese mix French cuisine.

6 course meal at approx $45 per pax.

Environment was quiet.

dont dare to talk so loud. lol!

They have special rooms but we requested to have a seat by the window at the lounge area.

Some snacks for us to munch on while waiting for our food.

Starter: Chef's selection of assorted platter.

Recommended to start from the right: 

salmon avocado plus some cream (forgot what cream)

Scallop and the foam (hahaha duno why got foam so atas)

Foie Gras on a bread (taste like bread leh)

Jake's Side dish: Steam Fresh Bamboo Clam.

Jace's Side Dish: Tempura Battered Soft Shell Crab on Mash Potato

Soup: Crab Bisque Cappuccino Style 

This is very thick and the crab taste is so strong.

Jake like, but not too much. 

I feel full just by looking at it. lol.

Jace's main dish: Chef's selection of sushi platter on wasabi mayo.

recommended to start from the right:

salmon, soft shell crab, scallop, octopus, i duno what was that (some fish & egg), forgot last one.

but all nice!

Jake's Main: Chicken Thigh served with pan seared Foie Gras

a very messy dish.

Jake no like bcos the chicken not juicy and tender :(

 Jace's drink: Ice fruity refresher

Super super nice drink, omg.

why everything so nice hahaha sorry i got limited vocab, cannot be food critic, only know how to eat. lol!

Refreshed blend accompanied with assorted fresh fruits.

 Jake's drink: Iced Mallow Apple Melody

Blend of mallow flowers, apple and guava juice.

nice but lose the above drink abit.

Jake's dessert: Dozo's freshly baked warm chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream.

Jace's dessert: Japanese Mochi served with Red bean and Ice cream

Goodie.

Dozo drinks are all superb. including the warm tea.

Which i found out later on to be berry green tea.

Have been on a hunt for nice green tea with berry taste ever since.

Very Satisfied MYs.

We can make our choices out of the few for Side dish, Main, Dessert and drink.

 Definitely going back soon!
