BORACAY- DAY ONE

Planned this trip months before I chanced upon a new job opportunity.
I was unemployed for a full 10 days, and half of it will be spent in Boracay!

As usual, I took especially long to blog about holidays,
Cos it's super hard to filter out the photos.. too lazy and no time!
But will try hard to blog bout what we did, how we go and how much we spent :)

Arrived at the airport at 10am!

Had our breakfast cum lunch at Killiney and Tip Top.
Meet our boarding passes!
Flight at 12pm, will be touching down Kalibo Airport at 340pm.
We got the tickets at abt SGD121.50 (without baggage).

All psyched to depart for Boracay!
With Tng, Bryan, Lifen, and Baolong :)

Been a while since we took Tigerair.
not much leg space.

Kalibo airport, as simple as it gets.
There're even atap houses near the airport!

Tired faces.
Making our way to Boracay wasnt an easy journey.
Got to take a 3 hours 40mins flight, travel 2 hours by van to ferry terminal, 15 mins ferry ride, followed by another 30 minutes to hotel.

BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.
Boracay is like a paradise!

Waiting to check out immigration.
Look like local. lol

Outside the airport.

Had some drinks and we were on our way.
Boracay gets super dark at 6pm.
No street lights on the road and it was pitch dark.
So try to get going as early as possible.
We were so worried in the van!
Wonder how the driver can see with just the headlights. :/

Finally on the ferry.
Hungryyy!
Rmb to carry some snacks with you if you are going to Boracay.
All the hours of travelling left us not much time for a proper meal.

Van and ferry tickets at 250 PHP.
Terminal Fee at PHP 100.
Environmental Fee at PHP 75.

Almost the only type of transport other than tricycle.
The 6 of us took this back to hotel. Think we spent about PHP300 for one ride.
Cant really rmb this.

It's almost 8pm when we reached our resort.

Checking in.
A very cosy lobby.

Giulius Resort, we paid about SGD86 per night.

The hotel was pretty clean, spacious and location was excellent!
3-5 mins walk to D Mall, the only "mall" for decent food and supermart.

All ready for dinner.

D Mall.
Not actually a mall.
But its more like an open air concept with restaurants, eateries, shops and super mart.

Bball!

Our dinner.
Cant rmb how much we paid for the seafood but it wasnt expensive.
Think about PHP200+ per couple.

Not really great to recommend,
But i tot it was not bad because we were so hungry!

Stocked up snacks. cup noodles and drinks from the super mart.
Our favourite haunt every day!

They only provide paper bags. :)

Checked out some water sports and ready for some on day 2!
