Cappadocia/ Santorini / Istanbul - Day 1

The much awaited trip!!

Had wanted to go New Zealand at first, but changed our destination because Ping kor kor was talking about Santorini, so tempting. 

and Turkey is so near, might as well go to both lol.

So we booked the tickets, took leave, packed and fly! :D

This holiday is the most expensive one so far.

I am damn poor duno how I manage to squeeze out 3.7k lol.

until now I still cannot recover from deficit but NO REGRETS.

As the saying goes YOLO. hahaha

Reach airport before go up plane must call/sms whole family tree.

We got our tickets to Istanbul at S$1090.40. To the cents lol.

You know those ang moh celebrity, always spotted with a cup of starbucks at the airport one.

We also act yi ge, go for coffee bean.

Almost burst out laughing hahaha!

Whenever we go travelling, will always feel very proud of Singapore's airport.

Where got airport got free wifi and got so many nice seat one.

We really the BEST.

Got blanket and pillow one!!

Ok sua gu but very happy haha

Time to sleep.

11 hours flight.

Always looking forward to meal time.

I love plane food LOL.

Very sumptuous leh. Nothing to do can only eat. Slowly enjoying my crackers with cheese and watching movie. hoho

Finally touch down at Istanbul airport.

Went to eat at this cafe the bread so tough omg.

So cold!

Took Turkish Airline from Istanbul to Neveshir Airport, paid S$67.30.

We had the hotel transport to pick us.

oh my gosh so different from Singapore, look at the landscape!!

Which cave house to stay in Cappadocia?

We recommend Chelebi!

It's a very cosy place located in Goreme, only 5 rooms if I never remember wrongly.

Every room is different because of the cave structure and furnishing.

We are very greedy so we stayed at 2 different rooms on both nights to try haha. 

The owner is very kind too!

We wanted to try Hot air balloon and ATV,

He has given us some advice and even recommended good food.

You can even exchange currency with him too!

He has a cute baby boy hehe.

It is so nice to relax at the courtyard - a common area for all the rooms.

Had hot tea and cup noodle breakfast there, very shiok lol.

First night in the Arch Room.

The smallest one but got feel haha. 50 Euros.

Changed and went out for food.

Took some pics otw.

Chelebi owner recommended Cappadocian Cuisine Restaurant, DAMN NICE we went twice lol.

Cappadocia has super nice bread,

I seriously dont mind taking in carbo for this lol.

Some grilled lamb kebab

Pottery chicken, sooooooo goooood.

Can't find it in Singapore.

This pot can only be used once.

The restaurant owner even gave Jake a new one  for momento on the second visit before we left Cappadocia cos he was licking the pot away lolol.

So friendly people!

Ping kor kor recommended "My Mother's Cafe & Restaurant, very nice ambience!

Ordered another pottery chicken to try lol.

Really the people in Cappadocia super friendly one.

The owner taught Jake how to break the pottery.

So they actually bake the tomato based chicken (something like stew) in this pot.

There's a hole at the top to put the ingredients in and they seal it with aluminum foil.

Then use hammer to break the lid.

That's why only can be used once, so interesting!

Ended our first evening, more adventures coming hehe!
